Increase Slots Breath Of The Wild

Cooking in Zelda: Breath of the Wild is about much more than replenishing health.

Here's how to increase your inventory space in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Nintendo Switch's new Zelda title is filled with a ton of customization options and cool weapons to collect. Unfortunately, when you start the game, you'll have very little inventory space. First stop, Hestu. Head to Kakariko Village from Duelling Peaks (this is the “natural” way most players will come to Kakriko). On the winding path that leads up from the river to Kakariko Village on the right hand side, you'll see this guy: His na. The cost will gradually increase as you unlock slots — the first slot costs 1 seed, the second slot costs 2, the third slot costs 3, etc. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Fully.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has done away with finding hearts to replenish health. Instead you’re going to have to cook to stay strong, create elixirs and reap plenty of other benefits. You’ll find ingredients all around Hyrule, ready to stash in your pouch. From the menu highlight the items you want and drop them into a cooking pot. Now light the stove and watch the magic happen.

It’s also worth noting that you can cook by setting fire to the environment, but don’t expect to be rustling up a five-star dinner. This should only really be done in emergencies where you might need to cook raw meat to get your health back up. You can cook between 1 and 5 items together in a pot and hold up to 60 meals and/or elixirs at any one time.

Cooking recipies, star fragment, Blood Moon and dragon part bonuses

Beyond cooking simple foods to restore health, different foods and items create useful buffs. You’ll need to experiment to see what you can make and how that boosts Link; A truffle, for example, will temporarily increase your maximum hearts, or creating a Chilly elixir will make you resistant to heat for a short period of time.

When you use an ingredient that contains a buff, it will have a prefix; Chilly, Energizing, Enduring, Electro, Fireproof, Hasty, Hearty, Mighty, Sneaky, Spicy and Tough.

You can’t combine these separate buffs, so no meal will be both Hearty and Spicy. But you can combine the same ingredient to stack the buff, so throwing two chillies into a pot for a Spicy meal will make your resistance to cold longer lasting.

This is what each buff does:

  • Chilly – Resistance to heat
  • Energizing – Restores stamina
  • Enduring – Extra stamina
  • Electro – Resistance to shock
  • Fireproof – Flame Guard
  • Hasty – Increases movement speed
  • Hearty – Restores full health
  • Mighty – buffs Attack
  • Sneaky – buffs Stealth
  • Spicy – Resistance to cold
  • Tough – buffs Defence

On top of these buffs, when cooking you may also hear a special sound. When this happens you will receive an extra bonus. These are:

  • Extra yellow heart
  • Three extra hearts
  • Buff increase by a further 5 minutes
  • Buff increased by +1
  • Stamina increases

You can actually guarantee these bonuses by using particular items or cooking during a certain time.

Cooking during a Blood Moon, when the moon is red and enemies respawn, will give you a random bonus. As will using a star fragment or dragon body part in your recipe.

That’s all you need to keep Link healthy and strong. Happy cooking!

starting your adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you will have only a handful of hearth and low stamina. You can change it though. In this chapter, you will learn how to increase your health and stamina.

Breath Of The Wild Guide

Seek Shrines and try to complete all of them to obtain Spirit Orbs.

At the very beginning you will have just a couple of hearts and rather low stamina. In order to improve one of your parameters, you will have to find and complete mini dungeons known as the Shrines. Shrines and their locations will differ from one another - some dungeons can be completed in several minutes, while other will be long and end up with a boss fight. There are 120 such places in the game and after completing a Shrine, you will receive a Spirit Orb.

Breath Of The Wild Mods

Use the statues to exchange Orbs for additional hearts or more stamina.

Breath Of Wild Review

Take your Spirit Orbs to any of the statues - you can exchange four Orbs for one heart, or some additional stamina. When upgrading your parameters, remember that:

  1. You start the game with only three hearts and most of your enemies can easily eliminate Link. Thus, it is very important to increase your health as soon as possible. Just remember not to spend too many Spirit Orbs on that - it's far better to use food that can generate hearts temporary and master how to dodge and strike back,
  2. To gain one of the most important items in the game, you will need 13 hearts (not mentioning additional ones),
  3. Increasing your stamina is crucial - you will need it e.g. to reach important locations through climbing and swimming.
  4. To sum up, try to keep a balance between gaining additional hearts and increasing your stamina.
In Hateno Village there is a special statue that allows to redistribute Spirit Orbs.

Breath Of The Wild Map

One should keep in mind that it is possible to exchange additional hearts for stamina points and vice versa. When you encounter the statue for the first time, a short side quest will begin and you will lose one heart. Don't panic - speak with the statue again and it will offer to give you back your heart or exchange it for stamina.

From now on, you can give Heart containers/Stamina Vessels to the strange creature. Each time the statue will give you 100 rupees. Whenever you decide that you want to improve your statistics, the statue will demand 120 rupees. Thus, to relocate Spirit Orbs, you will have to pay 20 Rupees. It's the only way to reset your previous decisions.

Remember! There are four large dungeons that one can complete, and you will receive a heart for each of them.
